The holiday season is approaching, and here at Winners’ Resource Center (WRC), our commitment to supporting our Tampa Bay neighbors is stronger than ever. We are thrilled to announce our annual “Day of Thanks” community event, a massive initiative in partnership with Winners’ Worship Center (WINNERS’) to provide a complete Thanksgiving meal and essential life resources to 3,000 local families.
A Legacy of Compassion and Community Empowerment
The Day of Thanks, started nearly two decades ago by the late founder Robert Fruster, is more than just a food giveaway; it’s a central pillar of our mission to empower the community. Under the leadership of Senior Pastor Brenda Fruster, this event connects families not just with a turkey and a food box, but with the resources needed to win in life.
Join us on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, from 9 am until supplies last, at 701 E. Bird St, Tampa, FL 33604.
Crucial Resources Beyond the Meal
This year, the Day of Thanks will transform into a comprehensive resource hub, directly connecting attendees with vital support services that align with WRC’s year-round commitment to self-sufficiency:
- Housing Options: Guidance and Resources for Those Seeking Stable Housing Assistance.
- Medicaid Specialists: Experts on-site to assist with critical health coverage inquiries.
- Social Services Information: Access to various community programs and direct connections.
- Community Leaders: Local leaders from Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa will be present to show support and hear directly from community members.
This holistic approach ensures we are addressing foundational needs that extend far beyond the holiday season.
